Meet Our Team

Yasmine Lacaillade

Managing Partner

Prior to founding Sinefine, Yasmine was the Chief Operating Officer at Drive Capital, launched by two Sequoia partners in 2013. She helped build Drive from an early stage venture fund into a multi-billion dollar private equity platform. Yasmine led key strategic operating decisions and investments and managed Drive’s limited partner relationships. She also built her own investment track record with the emerging manager scout program she launched at the firm.

Prior to Drive, Yasmine spent four years at TPG-Axon, a global multi-strategy hedge fund anchored by TPG, leading European marketing and investor relations. She started her financial career at a single family office and learned the art of the sale at Gruss & Co, a global merger arbitrage hedge fund. She graduated with honors from Princeton University in 2005.

Yasmine is the proud mother of three daughters to whom she imparts her Belgian heritage and love for travel.

Tony Meadows

Partner

Before joining Sinefine, Tony held the position of Portfolio Manager for a $70 billion state pension plan. His responsibilities included overseeing a mature portfolio of private equity investments and participating in advisory board meetings. Additionally, Tony played a key role in sourcing, evaluating, and recommending private equity funds for primary commitment to the Board. He was also instrumental in the Fund’s co-investment program, where he focused on underwriting and presenting recommendations to the staff investment committee.

Tony holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive status). He resides in Mechanicsburg, PA with his wife, son, and their Labrador Retrievers.

Katy Exline

Head of Technology

Katy, a software engineer and product architect with a decade of experience, excels in transforming technical roadmaps into reality. Her forte lies in custom solution development for non-tech sector clients, blending intricate technical skills with sharp business acumen.

Katy's leadership is evident in her pivotal roles in projects like a custom VC fundraising CRM and a comprehensive revamp of a dog training application. She executed multiple projects while at Drive Capital with Yasmine. At Braintree, she spearheaded major platform initiatives including a multiyear production database fleet upgrade and critical service redesign.

Holding a B.S. from Ohio State University, Katy is also a champion for diversity in tech, as showcased in her leadership with Girl Develop It – Chicago Chapter.

Allison Davis

Investor Relations Associate

Prior to joining Sinefine, Allison led investor relations for Calmwater Capital, a Los Angeles based investment firm.  Her responsibilities consisted of interfacing with the firm’s investors, developing relationships with prospective investors globally, and streamlining company processes. These investor relations skills had previously been developed at Anthos Capital, a private equity firm in Santa Monica. Anthos also gave Allison valuable insights into identifying emerging managers, she saw how creativity and a scrappy work mentality could provide incredible opportunities.

Before returning to the west coast, Allison spent six years in New York City: four at Elliott Management, a $71B activist hedge fund, and two at The Sapir Organization, a real estate investment firm that launched her career in finance. Committed to advancing financial literacy and independence for women, Allison is a member of both Women in Institutional Investing and Women in Financial Markets LA chapters. 

She attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA, with a major in Public Relations.  

Mila Freeborn

Operations Manager

Mila joined Sinefine at formation to help build the next world-class investment firm. She manages day-to-day operations and anything the startup life throws at her. Her scientific background brings a unique perspective to the team.

Mila graduated with honors from the Ohio State University. Her sector focus was maternal and infant health, and the sociocultural environment that influences it. Mila changed her plans to join the incredible mission that Sinefine embodies. Her depth of understanding of the barriers women face daily is why she wants to be at the forefront of change that women-led firms are already bringing to the table. Her passion for improving the lives of women motivates and pushes her towards excellence.

When not keeping the lights on at Sinefine, Mila escapes to new worlds by plane or in pages.
